2019 BMW Z4 leaked ahead of Pebble Beach debut

Official photos of the new BMW Z4 have been leaked on the internet, giving us a first glimpse of the new roadster ahead of its global premiere later this month at Pebble Beach.

Shown here in M140i guise, the new Z4 closely resembles the concept that debut last year and appears to remain true to the camouflaged prototype spotted earlier this year.

Continuing the nameplate’s familiar long bonnet and short overhang silhouette, the new Z4 seems to have adopted the concept’s front and rear bumper designs, as well as the side vents.

Amongst the photos are also some shots of the convertible’s redesigned interior, which can be seen adorned with BMW’s latest fully digital instrumentation panel and new generation i-Drive system.

Co-developed with Toyota, the new Z4 M140i will boast a new in-line 6-cylinder engine with at least 270kW, a lowered sports suspension with electronically controlled dampers, a newly developed front axle, M light alloy wheels with mixed tyres, an M sports brake system and an electronically controlled rear differential.

The performance flagship of Z4 range is set to rival the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 when it goes on sale in early 2019.
