Mazda has announced it will unveil the facelifted 2018 Mazda6 sedan at the Los Angeles Auto Show which opens from Dec 1-10.
This will be the Mazda6’s 2nd facelift that besides incorporating a nip-tuck here and there for a more premium look also brings new technology and more efficient powertrains.
The existing SKYACTIV-G 2.5-litre petrol will adopt a cylinder deactivation system that promises better fuel efficiency and performance, while the SKYACTIVE-G 2.5-litre turbocharged direct injected petrol that debuted in the CX-9 has been added to the engine lineup.
On the technology side, Mazda’s i-ACTIVSENSE safety system will now incorporate a radar cruise control that automatically bring the car to a standing stop and take off again, and a 360-degree camera.
From the teaser images, the exterior receives the usual tweaks to the front bumper and grille, while the interior gets the bulk of the change, with a thoroughly updated dashboard for a more premium feel.
More details to come from the LA Auto Show.
