While Porsche is busy readying its facelifted 2017 911 GT3, which is scheduled for a debut later this year, what appear to be leaked images of the car have hit the web.

A reader of Autoblog.nl reportedly discovered the 3D rendered model from a Porsche digital configurator on the company’s Dutch website.

Like the recently updated Porsche 911, the new GT3 appears to have received the same upgrade, featuring a new front fascia complete with reshaped LED daytime running lights and air intakes, along with some additional aerodynamic elements around the radiator grille.

At the other end, the rear bumper has been revised and features a new diffuser along with the new taillights from the updated 911.

However, the biggest change in the facelifted GT3 is found under the bonnet, where it adopts a six-speed manual transmission mated to a 3.8-litre flat six engine. Porsche’s PDK twin-clutch transmission will remain an option.

While we will have to wait till the GT3’s launch to find out the final output from the engine, it is safe to assume it will be tweaked to deliver more power than the current model’s 349kW and 440Nm of torque.
