2015 Honda NSX Type-R Concept

For those of you who are still unaware, Honda have decided to continue the development of the next generation Honda NSX since the project was canned in 2009 when the company was in a midst of financial struggle. Since the project was revived, there have been numerous concepts and sketches floating around the internet. Honda have also presented several prototypes at major motor show events. Now here is another addition to the “next generation Honda NSX portfolio”, difference is this is rendering of the Type R version.

The Type R nameplate is to Honda what the M badge is to BMW. It is the high performance version of the car it is based on. The previous generation NSX had the Type R version added to the line-up in 2002, thus it is only right to say that the new NSX will continue the Type R heritage.
