The all-new Audi TT convertible is not due to arrive in showrooms until 2015, but our friends with the lens have already spotted a prototype out in the wild undergoing real world testing.

Despite the heavy camouflage, the third iteration of the TT’s iconic design is still as well recognisable as ever. The roadster continues to favor a soft top over a hard top. Larger roll-over bars can be seen behind the seats, along with a retractable wind deflector to stop the occupants’ hair getting messed around at high speed.

The new Audi TT Roadster will share identical engine line-up as its coupe sibling – a 2.0-litre turbo diesel good for 135 kW and 380 Nm, a 2.0-litre turbo petrol rated at 169 kW and 370 Nm, and a high output version of the 2.0 petrol with 228 kW and 380 Nm powering the range topping TTS.

The 2015 Audi TT Roadster is set to debut at the Paris Motor Show in October 2014.
