Audi’s facelifted A6 Allroad Quattro has arrived in Australia priced from $111,900.

Available solely with a 3.0-litre turbodiesel V6 engine, the A6 Allroad shares the recently refreshed A6’s new front grille, headlight design, rear-end treatment, as well as updated interior.

The car comes standard with LED headlights, with Audi’s Matrix LED units available as an option. Dynamic turning indicators are also available across the range.

Inside, the new high-resolution Driver Information System (DIS) sits in between the speedometer and tachometer readouts, and can display crystal-clear map-based navigation right in the driver’s natural field of vision. It is powered by the new-generation MIB2 infotainment system, which itself is driven by the latest Nvidia Tegra 30 quad-core processor.

The all-new EU6-compliant 3.0 V6 TDI diesel engine that is at the heart of the A6 allroad quattro produces a healthy 160kW of power and 500Nm of torque. Fuel consumption is a claimed 5.6 L/100km (down 0.7L/100km), thanks to a number of fuel efficiency technologies like the new-generation start-stop program, advanced thermal management and the seven-speed S tronic’s freewheeling mode.

Power is distributed to all four wheels by Audi’s legendary quattro permanent all-wheel drive system, which under normal driving conditions directs 60 percent of engine to the rear wheels and 40 percent to the front. It can also redistribute the power immediately if necessary – up to 70 percent to the front axle or as much as 85 percent to the rear.

A form of torque vectoring via the ECS brakes the inside wheel during cornering or when slip is detected and sends the excess torque to the outside wheel.

Adaptive air suspension is also standard. At speeds higher than 120 km/h, it lowers the body by 15 millimetres, and raises it by 35 millimetres at the push of a button. At low speeds, the lift mode brings an additional 10 millimetres of ride height. A tilt-angle display and hill-descent control program are also standard.

Highlight of the A6 allroad quattro’s standard equipment includes:

  • 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels
  • LED headlights with dynamic rear indicators
