2014 Lexus ES pricing and specifications announced

Lexus has today announced the pricing and lineup of the Lexus ES. The front-drive ES will be available with two engine options over a range of four models, and for the first time, a Lexus hybrid vehicle will lead pricing.

“The decision to lead ES Line pricing with hybrid is a result of higher consumer demand and the commercialisation of hybrid technology,” said Sean Hanley, Lexus Australia chief executive.

“We believe that both ES models offer a very compelling proposition to luxury vehicle buyers by combining peerless levels of comfort, space and refinement,” he added.

Available for order from today, the Lexus ES will launch with a 3.5-litre quad-cam V6 developing 204kW in the ES 350, and for the first time in the history of the ES, a 2.5-litre hybrid delivering 151kW in the ES 300h.

Prices start from $63,000 for the ES 300h Luxury that brings a long list of standard equipment, including satellite navigation, reversing camera, parking sensors front and rear, blind spot monitor, moon roof, 10 airbags, eight-speaker Lexus premium audio, smart key entry and push-button start, Nanoe-enabled dual zone climate control, digital radio, Lexus Remote Touch, Drive Mode select and leather interior.

A $3,000 Enhancement Pack adds Pre-Collision Safety System and Active Cruise Control. This pack is only for the 300h Luxury.

The similarly equipped ES 350 Luxury is priced from $65,000.

Across both powertrains, Sports Luxury models gain tri-zone climate control, HID headlamps, 15-speaker Mark Levinson Audio, heated and ventilated front seats, power boot lid, manual side sun shades, rear centre armrest-mounted controls and semi-aniline leather accented interior.
