2013 SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition

The upcoming SRT (Chrysler Group’s Street and Racing Technology) Viper has been previewed ahead of its official debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Monterey, California.

The stunning SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition, to give it its full name, packs 640 horsepower (477kW) and 600 lb-ft of torque (814Nm) from its monstrous all-aluminium 8.4-litre V10. The same engine can be found on regular models as well.

The car was created to pay homage to past Viper Coupés and is dressed in unique GTS Blue paint work, with a pair of Bright White stripes running the entire length of the sports coupé. It also rolls on a set of five-spoke polished forged aluminium wheels.

Inside, the seats, door trim, dashboard, steering wheel, gear shift lever and centre console are all covered in Black Laguna leather with contrasting stitching. As befits its sporty intention, SRT Viper’s headlining are done in Alcantara, while the white bezels are finished in Satin Silver.

“Designed with Viper loyalists in mind, the 2013 SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition model brings back the classic paint schemes that have adorned all previous Viper coupe launches to help us celebrate the return of our brand’s flagship performance machine to the supercar market,” commented Ralph Gilles, President and CEO of the SRT brand.

No pricing or build numbers have been revealed by the company at this stage.
