2013 BMW M6 Coupé and Convertible available now in Australia

The sexy new 2013 BMW M6 Coupé and Convertible are now available in Australia. The two-door sports car is decidedly more pleasing to the eye than the outgoing Bangle-era model, and carries the same drivetrain as the potent BMW M5.

You get the same ludicrously powerful high-revving 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 dishing out 412kW (552hp/560PS) of power and a monstrous 680Nm of torque, enabling the M6 to achieve the century sprint in just 4.2 seconds in the Coupé, and 4.3 seconds in the Convertible. Top end is electronically limited to 250km/h.

Amazingly, BMW engineers have managed to achieve an official fuel consumption rating on the combined cycle of just 9.9L/100km for the Coupé, and 10.2L/100km for the Convertible.

The engine is mated to a 7-speed M dual-clutch transmission with Drivelogic and Active M Differential.

As expected from an M model, the M6 gets a full suite of M-fettled goodies, including M sports suspension with adaptive settings and 400mm six-piston front and 396mm rear M cross-drilled disc brakes.

Inside, there is a pair of body hugging sports bucket seats, M-badged gear knob and steering wheel, and an M instrument cluster.

The order books are now open for the new M6, with prices as follows:
