2012 Geneva Motor Show – GTA Spano

Little know Spanish car maker, GTA has showed case a tantalisingly attractive supercar called the Spano. It boasts an array of exotic material in its construction, including a unibody shell made of titanium, Kevlar and carbon fibre. All these contribute to a car weighing no more than a VW Golf, at a mere 1,347kg (2970lb).

It is powered by an 8.3-litre V10 engine churning out 840hp (627kW) driving the rear wheels through a 7-speed gearbox. GTA claims the Spano can hit 100km/h (62mph) from rest in just 2.9 seconds – that’s faster than the latest Ferrari F12Berlinetta.

Stopping power comes courtesy of a set of AP disc brakes that are nearly 15 inches in diameter, clamped by 6-piston callipers.

GTA has not announce pricing for the supercar yet but be prepared to dig into your wallet as it won’t be priced like a Golf!

Delivery starts in late 2012.
