Ford Mustang Bullitt offered in rare 700 examples priced from sub-$75k

The limited edition Ford Mustang Bullitt will make its Australian debut at the 2018 Motorclassica in Melbourne next month, just in time for the 1968 film Bullitt’s 50th anniversary.

“We’re so pleased that enthusiasts will be able to see Mustang Bullitt in the metal for the very first time at Motorclassica,” said Kay Hart, President and CEO, Ford Australia. “The event is a must-see, and we’re delighted to be part of what’s a cornerstone event on the automotive calendar, and a great way to introduce Mustang Bullitt to Australia.”

Motorclassica 2018 will take place over four days, from October 12-14, at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton, Melbourne, with 550 vehicles across 30,000 square-metres of exhibition space.

With 700 being offered in Australia, the Mustang Bullitt is the most powerful Mustang ever offered Down Under, with a 345kW/556Nm 5.0-litre V8 and six-speed manual transmission with Rev-Matching. True to the 1968 original from the film, each Bullitt is finished exclusively in Dark Highland Green, with a Fastback body that is devoid of badges. Torq-Thrust style black 19-inch alloy wheels, Red Brembo brake calipers and chrome window trim enhance the muscle car looks of Mustang, while inside, each example carries an individually-numbered plaque, cue-ball style gear-knob and Bullitt badging.

Deliveries of the Ford Mustang Bullitt will begin in Australia in October, 2018, with a price of $73,688 plus on-road costs.
