2013 Tokyo Auto Salon: Gazoo Racing GRMN Sports FR Concept

The crowd puller at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon (January 11-13) is none other than this GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum by Japanese tuning house Gazoo Racing.

Based on the Toyota 86 (Scion FR-S), the GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum features a whole new look thanks to redesigned from and rear bumpers, new headlights and taillights, wider wheel fenders, side skirts, rear spoiler and a set of 18-inch wheels.

According to Gazoo Racing, the GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum was built to aspire the iconic Toyota Supra, which went out of production in 2002.

Complementing the unique exterior transformation is an equally impressive white and black themed interior with white leather bucket seats, 4-point seat harness, roll cage, and new steering wheel and shift knob wrapped in white and black leather.

Looks aside, the GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum also packs some serious performance upgrades including a twin-charge system – a combination of a turbo and a supercharger for the 2.0-litre Subaru derived boxer engine, sports exhaust system, racing brake calipers and rotors and a set of adjustable sports suspension.
