Switzer Performance tuned 2012 Nissan GT-R with 600hp

Not that the Nissan GT-R is lacking in power in any sense, but that doesn’t stop Switzer Performance from producing a tuning programme called P600 PKG for the supercar.

It is purported to increase the 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine’s output from 545hp (553PS/407kW) to 600hp (609PS/448kW). Switzer Performance achieved this by installing their own high-flow filters, a free flowing SS90 exhaust and remapped the ECU software. The new exhaust system also improves on the already melodious engine note.

With the extra horses, the Switzer Performance tuned 2012 Nissan GT-R is two-tenths faster to hit the triple digit figure, taking only 2.6 seconds.

On the outside, the GT-R’s standard wheels have been swapped with a new set of Switzer Signature series lightweight forged aluminium wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Supersport tyres. According to the US based tuner, this improves on the vehicle’s handling capabilities and also provide a better ride quality.

The Nissan GT-R P600 PKG is priced at US$12,990.
