If the 317 kw of power and 550 Nm of torque in the BMW M4 look rather pedestrian to you, then German tuner Manhart Racing is here for the rescue. Dubbed MH4 550, Manhart’s latest project will extract 410 kW (550 hp) from the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged in-line six engine found under the bonnet of the F80 M3 sedan and F82 M4 coupe.

In factory guise, the M4 sprints from 0 to 100km/h in 4.1 seconds. While no official figures have been released by Manhart, expect the boosted M4 to demolish the century sprint in under 4 seconds.

Complimenting the added performance is a custom aerodynamic package with intensive of carbon fibre panels. At the front, the MH4 550 M4 sports a front lip spoiler, restyled bonnet and blackened kidney grilles. Down the side, side skirt extensions give the car a hunkered down look, while the rear receives a more aggressive diffuser, larger quad exhaust tips and a boot lid spoiler.

Special Manhart Racing vinyl and custom matte black 20-inch wheels round up the exterior modifications to the M4.

Manhart Racing will finalise the MH4 550 performance upgrade package in June and more details will be released closer to roll out.
