2015 Volkswagen Passat tuned by B&B

B&B Automobiltechnik has announced a customisation package for the recently launched 2015 Volkswagen Passat.

The German tuner is one of the first to tune the B8 Passat, specifically the Passat Variant (wagon) equipped with the 2.0-litre four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine.

In factory tune, the engine produces 177kW (240HP) of power and 500Nm of torque from just 1,750rpm. It drives all four wheels via Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive system through a 7-speed twin-clutch transmission.

For €3,950, B&B will boost the Passat Variant’s output to a healthy 220kW and 630Nm, enough to propel the car from 0-100km/h in just 5.5 seconds, 0.8 seconds quicker than the standard car.

A more affordable package, at €1,298, will enhance the car’s output to 202kW (275HP) and 570Nm. This is achieved by augmenting the engine’s ECU, dialing up the boost pressure by 0.2 bar, installation of an optimisation kit that brings enhancement to air induction, airflow and charge air-cooling and a custom stainless steel exhaust.

Aesthetically, the tuned-Passat can be differentiated with its ground hugging lowered suspension matched by several alloy wheel designs available in 19 and 20-inch.
